Mercy Center A Club Priority
We continue to provide weekly support to the Mercy Center Food Pantry, with Kiwanis members and volunteers on hand every Tuesday from 4–6 PM and Saturday mornings from 9:30–11:30 AM. We’re proud to lend a hand each week to support this important community resource.

$1,000 Grant for Literacy
We’re proud to have received a $1,000 grant from the Kiwanis Children’s Fund Microgrant Program to help put more books into the hands of local children and inspire a lifelong love of reading.
This grant supports our ongoing commitment to literacy and education, one of Kiwanis AP’s core pillars. We believe every child should have access to books and opportunities to learn and grow. Your donations help us continue this important work.
Community Karma Delivers!
Kiwanis Club members and volunteers showed up in a big way to support our community partner, Community Karma, at their annual Backpack Drive Distribution Day. Under the leadership and direction of Community Karma founder Celia Cattani (and Kiwanis Club member), more than 1,000 children of all ages received backpacks filled with school supplies, helping them head back to school ready to learn.
We’re proud to have supported this important community effort through both volunteers and donations, and grateful to everyone who helped make the day such a success.

Kiwanis Club Quick Hits
The Kiwanis AP Beach Toy Borrow Box on 2nd Ave closed out another fun summer! The box gave kids a fun way to share beach toys while helping reduce waste along AP’s shoreline. Toys were borrowed, enjoyed, and returned for the next child.
Play on Pine wrapped up another great summer of fun! Hosted by Second Life Bikes, the Friday evening gatherings on Pine Street brought the community together, and Kiwanis AP was happy to be there with snacks, drinks, and books. Thanks to everyone who helped!
